Inspired by her favourite dish at Joe Muer’s in Detroit, Anne’s salmon with capers brings back memories of elegant Friday night family dinners during her university years. Joe Muer’s menu changed daily, but the seared salmon with caramelized capers was a staple—and Anne’s personal favourite. Over time, she recreated a simplified version at home, grilling it in foil with capers and seasoning until tender and flavourful. Now a go-to in her kitchen, this quick, elegant dish reflects Anne’s belief in unfussy, delicious food that always delivers—perfect for a weeknight dinner or entertaining by the water.

How to Make
Anne's Salmon With Capers

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425°F or BBQ to similar temperature.

  3. Cut a piece of tinfoil large enough that can be closed like a package.
  4. Spritz some avocado or olive oil on tinfoil before adding the salmon.

  6. Fold tinfoil to close into a package and cook at 425°F oven (or BBQ) for 15 minutes.
