Ingredients for
Taratoor B'Tahini - Tahini Sauce

  • 1 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lime juice or 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 3 large cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons finely chopped parsley (optional)
  • 2 pimento peppers, deseeded (optional)

How to Make
Taratoor B'Tahini - Tahini Sauce

  1. Blend the tahini, garlic, pimento peppers, salt, lime juice and water together on medium speed in a blender. The mixture should be the consistency of mayonnaise.
  2. Additional water may be added if more liquid consistency is preferred.
  3. Stir in the parsley by hand.

Notes

TIP - For a thicker consistency, add more tahini; for a thinner sauce, add water and adjust seasoning to taste. If using lemon juice, use less water.

NOTE - Always store your tahini jar upside down.
