Aunt Ethel's Beef Soup
Brown soup bones
1 1b. of beef
2 onions
1 cup of water to frying pan
celery tops
celery
carrots
bouillon cubes
barley
frozen corn
worchestershire sauce
garlic powder
How to Make
Aunt Ethel's Beef Soup
In a large pot, simmer ingredients on top of stove for most of the day
Add celery tops and 2 bouillon cubes
Put in fridge so that fat solidifies on top
Next day remove the fat, strain ingredients and return stock to stove
Cup of celery, onions, carrots, and meat
Add to broth with barley (in deciding quantity, remember it expands)
Simmer slowly for another 2-3 hours until vegetables are soft
Add frozen corn, worchestershire sauce and garlic powder to taste
Notes
Add beef bouillon if required before serving. Freezes well.
