Ingredients of
Karen's Beef Stroganoff
2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
2 cups (16 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms
2 medium onions, sliced
2 tbsp. oil
3 beef bouillon cubes
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. tomato paste or ketchup
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 - 1 cup sour cream
How to Make
Karen's Beef Stroganoff
Saute steak, mushrooms, onions in hot oil until brown
Add bouillon, water, salt, paste, mustard
Cover; simmer 30-45 minutes until tender
Combine flour and cold water
Slowly stir into meat mixture
Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil
Reduce heat
Stir in sour cream
Heat (do not boil)
Notes
Serve over egg noodles.
