Oven Ready Lasagna With Meat

  •  375 g (1 package) oven-ready lasagna
  • 680 ml spaghetti sauce
  • 450 g (1lb) ground beef
  • 250 ml (1 cup) water
  • 450g (1 lb)  Ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 225g (1/2 lb) Mozzarella cheese, grated 
  • 185 ml (3/4 cup) parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • dash nutmeg
  • salt, pepper to taste

How to Make
Oven Ready Lasagna With Meat

  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C (375 °F). 
  2. In a saucepan, brown ground beef. Drain fat, add spaghetti sauce and 250 ml water; bring to a boil. 
  3. In a large bowl, mix together Ricotta cheese, beaten egg, Mozzarella cheese, 60ml parmesan cheese, parsley flakes and nutmeg. Add salt and pepper if desired.
  4. To assemble: Spread a thin layer of the hot spaghetti sauce mixture in bottom of a 4-litre (13" x9" x2") pan. Layer lasagna noodles, 1/2 cheese mixture and 1/3 sauce mixture. Repeat with lasagna noodle, remaining cheese mixture and 1/3 sauce mixture. Finally add lasagna noodles and remaining sauce mixture. Top with parmesan cheese. 
  5. Baked at 375 °F and covered with aluminum foil for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes.

Notes

Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
