This hearty stew was a winter staple in the Elliott household—comforting, flavourful, and always a family favourite. The key? Marinating the stewing beef in Catalina dressing overnight to infuse every bite with sweet, tangy depth. Loaded with vegetables and topped with buttery Pillsbury biscuits sprinkled in parmesan, it was the kind of meal that disappeared fast and reheated even better. The original recipe card still lives on, complete with an old family phone number to call in case you are stuck—proof it’s been passed down with love.
